If your saying, good for you!!!!!!!!!!
was referring to me, although it was a short, and rather pointless, thing. no point in going if you don't WANT to quit.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">When I originally considered quiting drinking, I went to the "best place in Des Moines, Iowa" They refused to take me. I did not not have the shakes enough for them. (long story , short)Originally posted by AcroPeek:

Thankfully I was able to do it on my own.
if you were drinking daily then you'd have a higher risk of being an alcoholic. I agree on the "brutally high tolerance" thing for now. Are you from Sweden or Finland? If yes, then one little bottle simply doesn't count anyway
all joking aside:
the high tolerance after a year of abstinence IS weird though. I haven't been drinking for almost 4 years now and get a buzz from pretty much anything involving alcohol, including the smell of window cleaner

ps:
why did I stop?
because I WAS an alcoholic, drinking daily. Not to the point of being a trembling addict, but definitely to the point where something was missing when I did NOT have a bottle in my hand. It's a very gentle slope downwards. The fucking "social habit" thrashed my liver.
stopped drinking after my doc told me I wasn't going to switness my 30th birthday
Well I survived the night. Overall I would have to call last night a mistake. Don't know why I picked up a bottle after all this time but I do not plan on starting up drinking again.
